Nitin Patel - Commercial Director
Nitin a has manufacturing degree from Bath University and a Post graduation qualification from the City University in London. Nitin was trained in world class techniques, he has been deeply involved in the development of strategy and the implementation of programmes which have led the way in design innovation and manufacturing excellence in the UK and internationally. This, in turn, has resulted in steep increases in commercial performance.
Independently profiled as a high energy, operationally strong executive who galvanises teams to deliver commercially viable yet complex programmes which meet changing customer dynamics in fast paced environments. Nitin has extensive pre and post acquisitional strategy formulation and assimilation experience, operating in geographically diverse markets, in a variety of industrial sectors, pulling together all the resources to devise and deliver the appropriate value enhancement, IRR and ROI solutions in turn around, geographic expansion and fast paced scale-up scenarios, for businesses of different sizes, ownership and organisational structure.
Nitin was appointed as the CEO at Redring Xpelair Group in 2012. He achieved turn around in 18 months by returning it to its position as an innovative market leader and increasing its gross margins. A c£2bn sales revenue Redring Xpelair Group is part of the world’s largest manufacturer of electrical heating and home appliances business with significant global positions.
His formative years prior to this position were spent with Glen Dimplex Home Appliances (GDHA) as an Operations Director, where he was responsible for an operating budget £60m and purchasing budget c£120m. Nitin established operations for new medical business start-up to £15m sales revenues and aligned operations to achieve increase in sales to international markets to 20% of total revenues and created new national distribution centre.
As a Manufacturing director with responsibility of 4 sites employing c700 people in manufacturing producing 1m units pa Nitin created a new organisation with a “can do” culture in line with a flexible operational structure which resulted in an overhead reductions and the introduction of lean to improve efficiency. He also developed sourcing function in Hong Kong and China and other parts of Asia resulting in savings of 30%.
In his other managerial roles Nitin was responsible for a workforce of 500+ employees and a turnover of £100+mill, where he not only was a profit driver, but also he cut cost and improved quality by more than 20%. His entrepreneurial mindset and business skills have been successfully implemented for many large and small businesses.
